There are 3318 employees in The First Aircraft Institute of AVIC I including 2397 technical professionals among which there are 131 professors,540 senior engineers and 700 engineers. The institute have two branches of design groups with complete professionals in both military and commercial aircraft. The institute have all specialized laboratories including aircraft configuration, fatigued, structure, systems, reliability, comprehensive, support, standard materials, computer technique and test metrology and the institute also have the large test labs such as flight control, hydraulics, fuel systems, environmental control, survival, hydraulic cooling, electrical network, avionics and aircraft fatigue.
